You have enrolled your fields and now it's time to enter your historical field records and submit them for Indigo review. This will help you prepare when Carbon Harvest opens.

Pending your practice change we will ask for 3-7 years of historical information on how you operated your field prior to the practice change. Indigo will then review them and flag any edits needed or missing information for you to resolve.

⚠️Submitting for review is not the final step, once Carbon Harvest opens your field will need to go through another review with current crop year information and you must hit the file button to be done.

It’s best to have historical records entered and reviewed before filing opens with current-year records for review.

Follow this step-by-step guide to learn how to enter historical records, and then view and resolve edits for your historical records.

Step 1: Enter your historical records.

Entering records needs to be complete before you can submit for Indigo review. Learn more here.

Step 2: Hit Submit

Once enough records have been added, your field status will change to “Ready to submit”.

You can submit each field from 3 places:

1. Your My Tasks tab for the field

2. From your Carbon Status Dashboard

3. From your Field Records tab for each field

Once you hit Submit, feedback will populate in your account within a minute.

Step 3: Resolve current feedback

Note: You won't see edits come back related to any current year crop records or your practice change information. Once Carbon Harvest opens you will need to submit your records for review again with the current crop year records. More feedback may be given on the field that wasn’t previously mentioned in the early review of historical records.

On the My Tasks tab, you will see a summary of any edits needed. To review the details about what needs to be resolved, click on the drop-down arrow for each bucket.

The drop-downs will provide you with more details on exactly what edits need to be made for which events.

Pro Tip! - If you have multiple events that did not occur, you can quickly mark them all as "Did not occur" with our batch edit resolution tool. Check the box next to all events that did not occur and then click “Mark as did not occur” to resolve those edits.

Step 4: Click “Resolve” to see your options for editing the event(s).

Step 5: After editing or filling out an event form, be sure to “Save & Mark as Resolved”.

Step 6: After resolving your edits, click the “Submit updates” button to continue.

You may have additional edits come back after you made updates.

Step 7: Once all current edits are resolved, you’ll be set for now and can focus on entering your 2023 records as they happen. We will review your fields again once Carboon Harvest opens. You may have new feedback to review for each field then.

⚠️REMINDER: Review for historical years is a one-time task, but Carbon Harvest happens every year to review events for each subsequent crop year you are in the program.
