Carbon Harvest for the 2022 crop year is closed. Congratulations to everyone who has filed fields!

If you’re newly enrolled in the program, the first Carbon Harvest you can participate in will open later in 2023. Whether or not you filed fields this time, you’ll have an opportunity during the next Carbon Harvest to generate credits for practice changes you made.

If you filed fields for the 2022 carbon crop:

What’s next?

You’re all set! We’ll process your records and then determine how many credits your fields generated, before independent review by the verifiers and registry. Once this process is complete, we’ll reach out to you and process your payment, likely in early 2024. Learn more about carbon credit payment.

Your payments are paused until you file again, but you’ll still be able to get paid for credits generated by your 2022 practice changes. Your next opportunity to file fields and get paid will be later this year.

In order to continue generating payments on your fields, you need to enter field records for each year that you’re enrolled in the program to demonstrate that you’re continuing with qualifying practice changes.

What’s next?

It’s time to start (or continue) entering your historical field records so that you’re ready to generate carbon credits and get paid in the next Carbon Harvest. You’re not too late, even if it’s been several years since you enrolled: You can submit records for up to 5 cultivation cycles from the year you started your practice change in one Carbon Harvest.
